Red Butte

This excellent hike takes us past three mountain lakes - Duffy, Mowich, and little Alice. Just past Alice Lake, we go off-trail to climb Red Butte. From the top we have great views of Jefferson, Jack, and the Three Sisters. Wildflowers are likely, as is a swim on the walk back. Please register by 7/20 so leader can get permit.

Difficulty: Hard

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: 12 miles RT.

Elevation Gain: 1800 feet.

Driving Distance: 160 miles RT.
