Mt Hood, South Side (Date TBD, see Desc)
Date: May 15th-17th depending on weather. The required climbing permit is valid for 3 days so we will do our best to make the climb happen in this window. Climbing on a weekday is well worth the vacation day to avoid the crowds.
Requirements: Must have taken intermediate snow skills or have equivalent experience. Preferably have climbed Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Adams. Climbers must be able to prove they are in excellent physical condition to meet the demands of this climb.

Note: Climbing Mt. Hood in the spring requires an early alpine start. We will be departing Salem at 10:30 pm the night before the climb and climbing through the night to the summit around 9 am to get on and off the summit safely.
