Cascade Head

The hike climbs up through spruce forest up to meadows overlooking the Salmon River. Further climbing brings you to upper viewpoints that are perfect for lunch or snack.  Poles are recommended.

Pace:moderate

Hiking Distance: 4.5 miles RT.

Elevation Gain: 1100 feet.

Driving Distance: 110 miles RT.

HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
