Cape Lookout -- CHANGED FROM MT. HEBO

We will start at the upper parking lot and hike out to the tip of the Cape Lookout peninsula where we stop for lunch and admire the beautiful view. Binoculars come in handy. This is a delightful hike with a constant ocean breeze and the sound of splashing waves against the rocks. Bring all your hiking gear, boots, poles, lunch and plenty of water. The trail can be muddy and slippery.

Pace: Moderate

Difficulty: Easy

Driving distance: 150 miles RT.

Hiking distance: 4.8miles RT.

Elevation gain: 400 feet.
