Coast -- Mt. Hebo

The Pioneer-Indian Trail up Mt. Hebo in the Coast Range winds through forest (partly logged) to the meadows at the top where there may still be a few flowers in bloom.  We'll hope for a clear day so we can enjoy the view which takes in much of northwestern Oregon from Haystack Rock to the Cascades.  Sullivan rates this "hard," but the trail doesn't have many steep spots, so those who enjoy a medium difficulty hike with some elevation gain should do fine.  Phone is a land line so no texts please.

Difficulty:  Medium / Hard

Driving distance: 150 miles RT.

Hiking distance 6.4 miles RT.

Elevation gain 1500 feet.

Qualifying Activity: Yes
