Direct North Ridge Trip Report
Christopher Canfield
Hello fellow climbers,

This year has been a whirlwind for all of us to say the least. I've been missing the community we have within this club so I wanted to share a detailed trip report of my climb up Mt Stuart in July of this year via the Direct North Ridge. I don't believe any of you know James Shingleton, my climbing partner, but I thought that sharing our experience with all of you may bring some joy and good thoughts about the mountains while we're all weathering through the winter.

Here is a link to the doc on my google drive. Anyone should be able to view it. If you have trouble let me know.

I hope you are all doing as well as can be expected in the current situation. With the vaccine being circulated I feel hopeful that someday soon we can all get together again to talk about rocks and share a frosty beverage.

P.S. big thanks to Frosty and the rest of the club that helped get these email groups moved over!

Oh how I have missed reading these trip reports!!! What an amazing excursion, Chris! My fav line was definitely “I was...feeling like I was being birthed from the rock”. How visceral. :)

Congrats on what sounds like a really fun adventure!
