Rooster Rock in Menagerie Wilderness
About this event
This trail climbs steadily through pretty forest to a small rocky top that was a former look out site. We will have lunch at the top with views up the South Santiam Canyon of several old cascade peaks. This trail is a good wildflower hike, but we will be too early unless we have shockingly warm weather through March. There is some blowdown on the trail, but hikers are getting through. Limited to 12 people in the wilderness, plus there is limited seating capacity at the rocky top.
