Shellburg Falls

About this event

The Shellburg Falls State Recreation Area in the Santiam State Forest re-opened May 2024 after it had been closed since the Beachie Creek Fire in September 2020. The trail system has been completely revamped so there are several loops we can hike. One of the trails is shared by mountain bikers. The easier access to the parking lot on Fern road is closed. We access the area by driving 6 miles along gravel roads. During the week you might encounter logging trucks.
