Bay Ocean Spit

About this event

This coastal loop hike is in the Tillamook area. We start from the Bay Ocean Peninsula Park parking lot. We'll cross the dunes and then walk north along the beach all the way to the jetty at the tip of the peninsula. We will probably have lunch there. We continue from there and loop back along an old road track along Tillamook Bay. You may want to bring binoculars. There is a $10 per car Tillamook County day use parking fee.

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: 8 miles RT

Elevation Gain: 50 feet

Driving Distance: 170 miles RT

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
