Cascade Head

About this event

Cascade Head

A moderately difficult trail, this one winds through some coastal woods to break out onto the grassy open head, at which point it begins to climb up and up.  On a sunny day, the views are spectacular with the south coast at your feet.  If we're in luck, we'll see the resident elk herd wandering around the homes or up on the head itself.  There should be some wildflowers, including a special lupin which is the favored food for the endagered Oregon silverspot butterfly.
