Cub Peak Scramble Summit
About this event
This scramble in the Olympic National Park will be the following day after Mt. Ellinor. Climbing both peaks is not required.
This is an uncrowded overlooked peak in the Staircase region of the National Park and gains 4,000 feet in 3.3 miles. It is approached from the Wagonwheel Lake Trailhead. Getting to the summit is a scramble in loose rock with exposure, typical Olympic style. The views are magnificent and include 14 major Olympic peaks including Ellinor, Washington, Pershing, Cruiser, Lincoln and Stone.
I will only take a small group of six climbers.
7 miles round trip 3,995 ft. gain
