Cape Perpetua - Amanda's Trail Hike – September 19, 2026

Nine hikers started at Yachats and hiked the north trailhead via Amanda’s trail to the Cape Perpetua ocean lookout. The trail passed a grotto dedicated as a memorial to Amanda, a blind Coos tribal member. Hikers crossed a high-level suspension bridge before making a steep climb to the lookout. We ate our lunches in a stone shelter at the top, while enjoying sweeping ocean views of Cape Perpetua.
