Sometimes on a trip, the day simply feels like perfection. We had a cool breeze, a lush forest and clear skies full of views. AND we had 6 very happy women (Joyce and Rachel new to our club)! The trail was steep in places (steeper that in used to be??). We used the "Dave Carter Cut-off trail" to avoid the boulder field and enjoyed the forest instead.
We lunched on the ridge top with views of a half dozen volcano mountains. We were tickled to see the vivid blue gentian still lining the trail at the top.
