Our hike was on May 14 and was a perfect day for a hike. We parked at the Clear Lake day use area off Highway 126. Hiking down the west side of the lake for 1.5 miles, we picked up the McKenzie River Trail. We headed south along the river to the Waterfalls trail and the top of Sahalie Falls for pictures. We then continued south along the Waterfalls Trail to Koosah Falls and finally to the Ice Cap Day Use area for a lunch break. Heading back, we returned to the McKenzie River Trail that runs on the West side of the river to see the falls from both sides. There were a lots of wonderful views of the rushing river and falls on both sides. Our group included Debra Dawes, Deanna Davis, Kuca Torres, Sumon Montri, Pam Thomas and trip leader Steve Engler.
