This was a short-notice hike, planned as a reverse-Catamount loop. The leader was apparently having an off day and managed to take the wrong trail no less than
three times! We never actually made it to Catamount and ended up on a meandering 10-ish mile route. Fortunately, Chemeketans are good-natured and flexible, and nobody conspired to toss the leader off a cliff.
Despite the navigational snafu, it was a lovely sunny day, with patches of snow alongside the trail and flowers popping up everywhere. Sumon and Deanna even found a nice batch of oyster mushrooms.
