Columbia River Gorge Glory

The Memaloose Trail above the Columbia was justifiably popular on a sunny Saturday in April.  My parking spot earned us an extra half mile just to get to the trailhead.  Lots of dogs and smiling hikers were eclipsed by the huge bounty of balsam, lupin, paintbrush and more. The flowers were definitely PEAKING. Mts Hood, Adams and St Helens were crisply white against the blue sky. It was a "number 10 day".

Declaring the experience "very worth the drive" were Michelle Long, Sumon Montri, Nanci Chambers, Deb Wallig, Georgienne Young, Jill Wilson, Trisha Rossitto, Sam and Michelle Litke and Mary Coleman, leader.
