Stahlman Point Hike

Eileen Harder | Published on 9/17/2025
On September 13th, 5 intrepid women went up to Stahlman Point. The weather was perfect, the trail was in good shape and it was quite heartening to see so much undergrowth returning to the burnt areas of the trail. Mt Jefferson was pretty much covered with haze; the kind of haze that had that "look" of wild fire smoke. It was still a beautiful view and we were able to eat our lunch at the top without too much interference from yellowjackets!
On the way home, we stopped at The Gingerbread House for yummy ice cream. A gentleman and his young son noted that we were all sitting with our right leg crossed over our left for a very "symmetrical" photo opportunity!
We all had a great time with many laughs and constant conversation...can't wait to do it again!
