Warrior Rock, Sauvie Island.

This is a hike along the Columbia River on the west end of Sauvie Island. The trail leads to a lighthouse on a small rock point. There is a nice sandy beach ideal for a lunch stop. The trail can be muddy in spots but there is usually a way around the muddy spots, but not always. So be sure to have sturdy hiking boots for this trip. Also have your rain gear with you. This hike is a known birding opportunity so bring along your field glasses. Sometimes large ocean ships can go by on the river, an added treat. There is a parking fee for this trailhead. This can be purchased at the store on the island. It has been $10 in the past. This is a vehicle fee only and is not dependent on the number of passengers.
