Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge

This refuge is located just outside of Sherwood.  We'll walk the Wetland Trail a week before it closes for the season. Most of it is in the open (not much tree cover). On a previous visit in the spring, there was a partial trail closure due to heavy rains and high water, but the whole loop should be open in the fall.  This area is popular with birders, but since the leader doesn't know her birds, this won't be an official bird walk.  We won't dawdle too much, but bring your binoculars.  Bring a snack too, but the plan includes lunch at The Trees restaurant in Sherwood.
