Chemeketan Climbing Award System Summit certificates may be presented to all persons attaining the summit of a difficult mountain on a scheduled Chemeketan climb. The climbing Committee Chair is responsible for determining whether a particular climb is sufficiently difficult to earn a summit certificate.
A member wishing to receive a Chemeketan climbing award must apply to the Climbing Committee Chair and must submit proofs of climbs such as summit certificates or Club Bulletin listings. All climbs applied toward a Chemeketan climbing award must be scheduled Chemeketan climbs except for the 18 Peak Award for which up to six of the climbs may be made under the auspices of a fellow Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs (FWOC) member club. A distinctive award and patch, to be displayed as the member wishes, shall be awarded to members who have climbed the designated 18 Northwest Peaks. Eighteen Northwest Peaks
