Chairperson
The Biking Committee Chair is the focal point of Chemeketan bicycling
activities, primarily road bicycling. The
chair serves for one year. The normal biking
year runs from May to September.
Duties:
- The chair
organizes, develops and maintains the biking program.
- Prepare the annual
biking schedule consisting of leaders, locations and dates.
The previous years schedule is a starting for identifying potential leaders
who should be contacted. Submit schedule for
inclusion in Prospectus.
- Review and update
the Leaders Instructions.
- At least 60 days
before scheduled ride, send a package of materials to a leader. The package shall include:
a. Leader instructions
b. Activity information sheet
c. Sign-up sheets (members and guests)
d. Post-trip write-up (We Were There) form
e. Chemeketan envelopes (three)
- Each leader will
mail the chair their completed sign-up sheets or e-mail a list. Each leader will e-mail or send the post-trip
write-up form to the Bulletin Editor.
- Record all biking
expenses in a ledger and keep receipts.
- As needed, prepare
request for payment/reimbursement form, with receipts, and mail to the Chemeketan
treasurer.
- Reminders: Keep complete and accurate records and copies of
all correspondence. Copies of all forms and
envelopes are available a the Den.
- Prepare an annual
report, in triplicate, for the Annual Meeting. Present
report at Annual Meeting. Report shall include
rides scheduled, rides completed, number of participants,
and any other relevant information.
